Got Box Tops????

It is time to turn in all those Box Tops you have been collecting over the summer.

We are kicking off the school year with a Box Top contest.  The top two students

in the school who bring in the most Box Tops will each receive a $25 gift card

to the place of their choice.  The contest will end on Friday, October 25.  Please

make sure your Box Tops are cut on the dotted line and are not expired.  Using

a snack size Ziploc bag, place no more than 50 Box Tops in each bag.  If you have

multiple bags, place all the snack size bags in a larger Ziploc bag.  Don’t forget to

include your child’s name and teacher’s name on the bag.  Turn the Box Tops in

as you get them, and we will keep track of your total for you.  Remember to ask

friends and relatives to save their Box Tops.

Good luck and happy clipping!

Participate in Monarch's Roper Mountain Festival of Lights Holiday Card!
This year,Mrs. Kish and Mrs. Rasor, Monarch's Art teachers, are looking to create our Roper Mountain Holiday Card out of aluminum soda cans to be displayed during the Roper Mountain Festival of Lights!  Just as last year, we are hoping to receive enough soda cans from families to create a mural that will represent our school's environmental efforts.  It's going to take HUNDREDS of cans, but I know we can do it!  Families were so wonderful and supportive last year with our efforts to bottle cap our holiday card and their efforts paid off!  Monarch won FIRST PLACE in the county!  If you do decide to save and donate aluminum soda cans for Monarch's mural, please make sure to rinse them out and please do not crush or flatten them.  You can have your child bring the cans by the art room or, you can drop them off in the front office if the load is too much for your child to carry.  We need to start collecting cans NOW and will collect them through November 1st.
